Finding connections
September 10, 2006
No hassles in making friends…. there's no pre-requisite to that…
There's no rules stated that to be friends with anyone, there must be congruency isn't it?
As long as you enjoy each other's company and you're not doing anything bad… then enjoy!
It doesn't makes sense to me if sometimes likes and dislikes, personality and stature are not congruent, wavelengths aren't on similar frequencies….
Sometimes it's the indifferences that glued two people together and the journey towards compromising each other's topaks just to even out the friendship is what makes it exciting.
That's actually what happened to us…. Rechelle, Matto and Rowel… and look what happened… they are now one of the best and closest friends I've got! One look and you'll know what's running inside their minds….
It's the discoveries of the things which you commonly like and dislike that adds to the excitement…
From foodtrip, sound choices, showbiz and movie and other passion… will all make sense when shared with people destined to be your friends…
Ride the roller-coaster-ride in friendship…. You'll definitely enjoy it!
In this blog, you'll always find stories about friends… just my way of sharing how good life is when you've found a great friend to live by…. and my small way of thanking them for making me happy….
Friends are one of my life's greatest riches…
Pinoy Slam!
All roads lead to Imus Institute Gym to celebrate the 12th Anniversary of SFC in Cavite. All in elegant formal attire! You'll be amazed that they're all looking so formal and untouchables..
The Power Slam Competition that includes Video Presentation, Band Collaboration and Dance Competition were all won by the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA). They presented prior to us… and upon seeing them performed.. I knew right there and then that they'll gonna win! May paputok-putok effect pa na akala ko ako ang tinamaan hahahaha
But as expected, we gave our best shot… yooohoo!!! We took it ONE WAY!
Isang magandang performance lang… kahit hindi na manalo…
A lot of oppressions had been encountered… but our minds are set to perform and enjoy the moment cause we offer it to our IDOL.. And we truly enjoyed it… it was one of the memorable performances i think!
But what amazes me most up to now was the feeling of relief and freedom! During the praisefest, while others are sincerely praying and singing… i cried when i heard the song… "SONG of My SOUL"
It reminded me of several years of journey in Singles for Christ.. the strength and dwindling stages and even personal struggles in serving. I've been part of SFC since August of 1999 and it touches my heart to see the leaders and members of SFC that I knew a few years back still serving… some are already married, some are having their own GGs na… nakakatuwa talaga
Just wanna share 2 text msgs I got just this morning:
"Rest well sheggz! We all have our own sacrifices. Si God na bahala sa atin… We're glad to have you again.. Thanks for sharing your talent… God will bless you more.. Hope to continue to work with you in the coming gatherings!"
"You were really pretty last night! I'm so glad to see you're part na ng music ministry. Di ba you said u wanted to join dati. Sana tuloy tuloy na. May God give you strength for CLP later."
I was browsing the SFCCaviteSouth Yahoogroup and look what I've found… my idol, Ms. Bernadette Sembrano during the International Leaders Conference with my SFC Cavite South Bro and Sis…. Kakainggit naman…. Bernadette actively supports and participates in Gawad Kalinga of Couples for Christ and activities of Singles for Christ…. Galing noh?! Sobrang natuwa ako to see this pic of Bernadette with the group..
