@ Home with St. Jude
September 15, 2006
Yesterday, just before I went to Quezon City, I visited St. Jude Parish. This has been my constant destination from the time I was in college and St. Jude had been my reliable intercessor from the time I prayed for college graduation, MCP certification, health of my family, job hunting…. and he never fails to do that… the patron of Hopeless and the Helpless…
I attended a mass led by SVD missionary in Palawan. One of the very few masses that I end up laughing so hard, teary-eyed and whew! relieved…. the water sprinkles lightens the mood. By next week, the mass will be televised na. Galing!
The homily put premiums on the following:
1. Faith on the Cross.
2. Trust on the Divine Providence
3. Unity despite Diversities
He made mention of Filipinos too fascinated with movies, telenovelas… all of which has its own soundtrack.. and even old priests have their own soundtrack…
"Di ba… ako'y tao lang na nadadarang at natutukso rin…" hehehehe grabe ang lakas ng tawanan at palakpakan sa misa…. hangkulit ng pari…. pero I enjoyed listening….
I missed the lighting blue and white candles… that's for career, purity and enlightenment… Eversince, I never lighted for something that pray for love… oo… nahihiya akong pati un hingin no… Andami pang mas nangangailangan ng dasal…. hehehe
I walked with a renewed faith and a smile on my face. God sets me free. ;-)
