Ang Spaghetti Bow

SFC Dedication at Amadeo.

Special Task:  Alpha and Sheggz to cook Spaghetti.
Initial Status:  Ok

Grabe…. aga naman nagising ni Alpha… para mamalengke.. at Grabe din!
Sa tatanda na naming ito.. hindi kami marunong mamalengke.. Nakakatuwa ung mga kakilala namin na nakakasalubong sa palengke… at ang tanong ba naman sa amin eh..

"Oh anong himala at namalengke ka Sheggz?"

Buti na lang at nakita namin si Niño at tinulungan kami tumawad at maghanap ng murang tindahan…

Hindi kami pareho marunong magluto.  Mahilig lang talaga ako sa Spaghetti kaya alam ko pag masarap o hindi.
Eh grabe… 4 kilos of spaghetti ang kailangang iluto at kailangan ng after lunch.  Bahala na… basta binantayan lang namin….

Umuwi sandali si Alpha… at ako naman eh nagbantay sa nilalagang noodles.. nabusog ako actually sa kakatikim ng noodles kung luto na o hilaw pa…  Andung nagdikit-dikit ang noodles na parang lomi… sobrang naluluha na ako kasi ung una okay naman… tinikman pa ni bro..at masarap daw… aba ung mga sumunod grabe… Magic lang ginawa namin para magmukhang masarap… hehehe

At ang verdict?!?  Masarap daw ang Spaghetti sabi nila… Ako eh hindi ko malunok…. hehehehe
Mukhang ngayon ayoko na ng Spaghetti… hahahaha

The Power of "We"

I forgot to post a story about the recently concluded event of Gawad Kalinga entitled "The Power of We" held in Mall of Asia.  Several houses are temporarily built for "Open House" hehehe I joined several others, my brothers and sisters in Singles for Christ in Cavite to witness the celebration of modern heroes…. the volunteers, organizers, sponsors, Singles for Christ, Couples for Christ and its ministires and beneficiaries.

No more slums.  No more violence.  No more poverty.

Less for self, more for others, enough for all.

Gawad Kalinga (GK) , translated in English means “to give care,” and it is an alternative solution to the blatant problem of poverty not just in the Philippines but the world. Its approach is integrated, holistic and sustainable – a concrete action plan to rebuild this nation by harnessing the best of the Filipino – our faith and our patriotism.

At patuloy akong susuporta sa GK…

Naalala ko ang sinabi ni Tito Tony Meloto, the brain behind the GK, nagpapasalamat daw siya kay Gary Valenciano dahil may ginawa itong isang bagay sa kanya na higit niyang ikinatuwa… at iyon ay ang ipinagdasal siya…..

Meet Sam and Ayhen

Another good friend of mine is set to get married this coming November 5.

My Lola told me that a friend came to visit to give a wedding invitation.  I was wondering…

Sino na naman ang papakasal sa mga kaibigan ko?!?

Then, Lola happily shared that I was introduced to the Taiwanese guy as….

"She's my Bestfriend"

The curiosity intensified…. Who the hell is that girl claiming that I am her bestfriend?  Did I miss somebody?

"Ina, sino yun?"

Lola handed me a yellow envelope…. that's the invitation… When I opened it, I saw the pre-nuptial photo of Aireen and the Taiwanese guy….

"Ahhh… si Aireen…. nag-email na siya sa akin na ikakasala nga po siya…"

I enjoyed looking at the photos… It's as if I'm looking at a celebrity's wedding photos eh… Aireen is very beautiful.  We used to stay in one boarding house when we were in college.  One of those who witnessed just how regularly cry everytime I need to go back to Manila and leave home.

I remembered my badingerski landlord's hula…. magaling daw kasi siyang manghula..

I was with Aireen, Raquel, Sheila and Jocelyn…. all pretty-looking young lads… Our landlord said…

"Dalawa sa inyo…. swerte sa lovelife….
Ung natitira mawiwili sa career at hindi gaanong swerte sa lovelife.."

Three months ago… I met Sheila… happily married…. then Aireen, now getting married…. Jocelyn and Raquel daw are still single…

Hmm… katuwa naman… sa dami naman ng grupong pwedeng samahan…. don pa ako nakasama sa tatlong hindi gaanong swerte sa lovelife…. hehehe

Just this morning, in the midst of drafting a proposal for my project, I heard Gary V's Hang On.
Soooo…. I listened carefully to the lyrics and typed it one by one… I smiled that I finished writing the lyrics.

Ang problema… nakalimutan ko na kung para sa anong sign yung hiningi ko whehehe
O sadyang ayokong isipin kung ano un….

When it’s all over….

Minsan talagang kailangang ilabas ang nasasaloob..
mapagalit o saya o maging pagibig o kung ano pa man…

At masaya akong ang isa sa matagal ko nang itinatago eh nagawa kong mapakawalan sa bigwas ng isang sapok at isang malakas na sampal sa harap ng taong napakatagal na panahon kong pinahalagahan.
