The colors after the storm…..

I was on the road after the typhoon hit Manila. 
I saw how destructive it was and how it hit us. 

Can't help but sigh on how it affected the lives of so many people.
I remember my Lolo's kwento about "what to wait after the storm"….

I grew up with that thought that….

"Pagkatapos ng bagyo, wag kang malungkot kung laging maraming nasisirang bagay
o maraming namamatay at naapektuhan non.
Lagi mong hintaying lumabas ang rainbow….
At pag nakita mo ulit yun… ngumiti ka..
Ibig sabihin, binibigyan pa tayo ni God ng another chance….
Ibig sabihin, tapos na ang bagyo… at magiging makulay na ulit ang lahat ng bagay…
Binigyan lang tayo ni God ng babala… ngayon naman… binibigyan nya tayo ng pag-asa"

This is the reason why I love looking at rainbows….
I see rainbows as a mirror of hope…
a sign of forgiveness..
A good reason to smile about

And in the first song I composed… this was the very first line….

"Hinahanap ko ang dulo ng bahaghari…. 
Inaasam na nandoon … kalapating puti…
Sa bibig ay may pisi… na siyang hahabi…
at pupukaw sa ating damdamin…"

Galing ng USTE!

Wow… after 10 years of waiting.. finally, UST Growling Tigers won this year's UAAP Basketball Championship Event versus Ateneo De Manila University!

I watched with Apple, Star and Golden… We were cheering for UST of course…

And yoooohooooooo…. UST won!

Three-in-a-row… Women's Basketball, Cheerdance Competition and Men's Basketball….

Next year, UST will host the UAAP…. sooooo…… pray for a repeat ?!?

My First Day Haaaaay

Woke up sooo early…. at around 6am… but brought into the real sense at 6:30am.. hehehe
Thanks to my bro, for constantly reminding me of the time and the alarm.

Soooo excited not to be late on my supposed-to-be first day at work. 

But before that, I had to go to Expressions to have my framed diploma be reduced… whehehe
Hassle pala pag nakaframe ang diploma.. grabe!  Gusto kong basagin sa harap ng staff ang diploma ko… hahaha

On my way to Quezon City, two kiddos greeted me with a heart-warming morning greetings:

"Good morning, Ate… Wow! Ang ganda naman ni Ate"

Of course… ganda ng araw ko!

To my surprise, I was asked to settle my medical examination in Makati. 

Actually, this has been the most crucial part for me in seeking jobs…
not the examinations, not the interviews, not the panel interviews, not the demo… only the medical exam.  Why?

Cause I need to produce my pooh-pooh and wee-wee…
My body system is not natural… sooo pasaway, indeed!
When asked to pooh-pooh, I can't make pooh-pooh.
When asked to urinate, can't wee-wee either.   I spent 1 1/2 hours waiting for these two events to happen.. whehehe 

Then, of course, I will hear again the side comments…

"Can you no longer read Line 7 and 8"

Bukingerski ang 20/20 vision na inilagay ko sa application… whehehe

Ayun… when I get back to office….
I was asked to be back tomorrow for the real orientation and my real first day HI!

Buti na lang.. may malapit na McDonalds… narelieve ako ng Coke Float hehehe
