The best and the most wonderful thing in this world cannot be seen or even touched... they must be felt with the heart.

Loving the Right Way…

November 6, 2006

A friend once asked me this… how would anyone know if you're loving the right way…

I casually replied with:

As long as you're happy and you're not getting selfish about it.
You're more concerned with your partner's happiness… and yours be secondary.
You're a lot more concerned whether he/she is happy with the love you're sharing.
You're not stepping on anyone's toes and you're not hurting anybody…
You tend to become a better matured person, the same with your partner.
You tend to appreciate what God has given you… the gift of you and him.
And you feel that you're the happiest person just by sharing that kind of love…

Then you're loving right…  *wink*

Don't worry about other people will tell you.
It's you and him who'll build one lasting relationship… not them…
Other people's opinions are auxiliary…

I tell you… be happy… and stand up for it… ;-)

Everyone's struggling to be complete… by being happy…
Now that you're given the chance… grab it.. and perfect it.

Make a story of happy endings…

I thought the question and answer is through…

Are you happy?

I can't tell it right now… but one thing is definite…
I am more responsible in my quest to be happy.
I find it as a gift… ;-)
Not a thing to be waited upon…. it's all in the mind… only my heart knows when I am..
It shows in my eyes.. and in my smile… both are smiling ;-)

Back to Ginebra again…

In my younger years, I grew up in a family that has been solid Ginebra fans…

Everyone’s cheering for Ginebra.. win or lose…. except my Brother, who is a consistent Alvin Patrimonio fan of Purefoods…

We’re all in a feast mood everytime Ginebra players led the championship games… Everyone’s shouting when Jaworski scored a punch on his opponents… hehehe

But as I grow older, I forgot that passion in watching basketball.  My brother, though, constantly plays in collegiate basketball tournaments, I seldom watched basketball until the Ateneo – UST Championship just recently.

This time it’s different… I’ll be cheering for Ginebra for some personal reasons… whehehe

Whether I like it or not.. I need to love it… hehehe

Advance thank you to Friendster and Theodore… Secret…

Soon I’ll be wearing the shirt…. I LOVE PBA…. Yikes! Nyahahahaha

Ratatatatatat………

Karatedo Bonding with Sidekicks

I’ll be joining fellow Sidekicks this coming Friday in UP Association of Karate (UPAK).  I’ve been looking for KDA Centers that offer a more flexible schedule for karate.  And I’m glad that Renee will transfer to UPAK.  I heard that Alma, another Sidekick, is there also.  Alma is part of the national team already while Renee is currently holding a colored belt.

Am I too old for this kind of sport?

I consulted KDA’s website FAQ section… and it gave a fairly motivating answer…

Can people ages 30 or higher still learn Karate? Why not? If you are really interested and determined to learn, then go ahead!  Just make sure that you check with your physician first. You must take care to not over exhaust yourself.

I’m very excited to wear my blue or red gloves.. wala kasing pink… and the GI Uniform… whehehe

See you at the Dojo!

I remembered a friend…

“Get ready with the Tigger-look… while you’re in there…”

I said,

I’ll wink and smile at my opponents… hehehehe  Timang na Timang na Karateka talaga…

Karateka’s Performance Night

I’ve watched the Halloween Party Episode of the Pinoy Dream Academy where the Teachers performed.

The Company, where Moy Ortiz and Teacher Sweet are a part of, had their acoustics!

Von Arroyo and Jim Paredes, sung also.

Maribeth Bichara danced.

The other played piano while singing.

And how about my favorite teacher in the Academy…

Gege had a karate demonstration in the tune of Bring Me to Life (hehehe) by Evanescence… Hanep!

There’s just one word that came out in my mouth…. “Huwaw!”

It’s the Karateka’s Performance Night!  Watch the video here.. And see why Direk Joey Reyes introduced Gege as… "Once a Legend.. now an Icon".

The scholars, especially Panky, could not hide their admiration… they’re just simply wowed by Gege!

What I liked about her gestures… she’s very natural… and her talent is simply AWESOME!

I’ll see you in the Dojo…. The Great Karateka!

Full-Pink

Whatta great morning!

I noticed that I’m in full-Pink office attire.  When I passed by the mirror, I stepped back… and said…

“Oh… sino yun… ang ganda…”

I stopped for a while…

“Maganda ka Sheggz… hindi lang halata… Hahahaha”

Just like what Matto said… “It feels good to look good…”

And Sec. Gordon’s tag line… “Sometimes, women just don’t know how to look beautiful… but you are beautiful”

Huh?!  Convince your self that you are… it’s the positive attitude that radiates… whehehe

See the effect in the dragons?  Hahahaha

A Four-Minute Party Animal

I mentioned in one of my blogs that I rarely dance… or shall I say I can’t dance.  If others are not comfortable in singing, mine is in dancing.  I love to dance but I just simply can’t.  Not so much on ballroom but I love hip hop more…

But actually… sshhh… there was one song that could sweep the shyness away and will put me in timang mode in an instant on the dancefloor… in 4 minutes only… hehehe

The intro part will make you constantly jumping up for Joy!  Dance till you Sweat… the pause unveils the Timang in you in a mysterious project cum project… If you want to wake me up in the morning… play this!  And jaraaannnnn!!!!

It’s Square Head’s Happy… yup!  Hihihihi!

Happy
I am feeling so happy
I'm gonna be happy
You make me so happy
Can't you see I'm happy now

I simply love the happy rhythm and the lyrics of it.  Sooo effortlessly HAPPY and TIMANG.

Perfect for a Happy Person like me.

Check out my PC… it’s repeatedly played… and you’ll see me dancing at my desk… hahahaha

For a Happy Mood in the Morning… Woooo uh-oh Na-na-na-na-na…

But now, I feel so relaxed, every time I hear Agot Isidro’s “I Wish That I Was Making Love To You Tonight”, “I’ll Tumble For You” and the “Waters of March”… the Brazilian Mood relaxes me and I just find myself dancing in front of the mirror.  Bossa Nova influence tickles the nerves… at times will put you in a horny mood hehehe… as if you’re dancing in the middle of your honeymoon with your partner watching… hahahaha

Hanuba… let’s go back to Happy! Wholesome… hehehehe

I am so happy I met you

Can’t you see I’m happy now….

Still… nothing else comes close to HAPPY!  It’s simply AmAzIng!  Hassle… nasa FX ako neto eh at malapit na akong bumaba.. Hahahahaha

The Bird Cage

On my way to office, I saw a bird cage… bird-less.

That’s how our bird cage looks like…

When I was still young, we used to have a pet… a Bato-Bato… actually it was our Lolo’s pet….

it was given to us by my Grandma’s cousin.

I grew up hearing the hum woot-woot-wooot sound of it (100x) every 5:30am) that has become our alarm clock.  When it fails to wake us up, “may tantrums” hehehe … There’s nothing special about the bird… It hums beautifully just like the other Bato-Bato that we know.

That bird has been a Kapamilya for several years.  We fed him/her (sorry hindi ko alam ang gender) everyday with señorita… (the small banana).  I got scolded when my Lolo saw a piece of munchkin and a glass of orange juice inside the cage.

I winked at the bird… I was the first conniver, isn’t it?  I just assumed that the bird knew what I was saying.

One day, I woke up… hearing no sound from the bird.  That was summer, I think.  I saw my Lolo and Lola in the terrace…  My Lolo was the one holding the cage.

Sheggz:               “Ay.. asan na po ung ibon?  Nakaalpas ba?”

Ama Turing:        “Hindi.”

Sheggz:                “Eh asan po?  Pinaliguan ninyo?”

Sheggz:                 “Eh bakit kayo malungkot.  Pinakawalan ninyo tapos malungkot kayo.”

At that time, I cannot fully understand the reasons behind the reasons given at hand.  I was just forced to accept it because I’ve got no options but to…

This is just one of Ama Turing’s great shares of wisdom.
