Tears of Joy
November 24, 2006On the same fx, I heard David Pomeranz's "Born For You"…
This is the song I played as a surprise gift to Ate Raquel and Anei on their wedding along with Looking Through the Eyes of Love sung by Yancy.
Ate Raquel smiled at me and whispered "Thank you" when she heard the first few notes of it.
When she asked me if I'll be willing to be part of the entourage, I said "No." She didn't know either that I was coming to her wedding. She was surprised to see me playing for them.
When a close friend is getting married, you'll always find me teary-eyed or crying during the ceremony. That's why I prefer water-proof mascara and makeup on such instances… Hehehe
Tears of Joy… for an overwhelming experience of having been a part of their single lives and witnessing just how you'll entrust a friend to someone they chose to love.
And what I usually say to the groom?
Ikaw na bahala sa kanya ha. Ako ang kaaway mo pag tumakbo yan sa akin at humahagulhol. Hehehe
I never went to the reception because I need to go back to Manila for work. This is I guess, the very first time that I'd be sorry for not being there at one of my closest friends' very special day. I just want you to know that it was special for me too… and I cannot afford to let it pass without seeing you dressed in white as you walk the aisle to meet your man.
That's why I played it for you guys…
I rarely play piano for friends… only to those dear to my heart…
It's my way of saying…
Thanks for being a friend…
Remember me with the song I played.

“Thank u so much”…
