To!nk-able Thots

The best and the most wonderful thing in this world cannot be seen or even touched... they must be felt with the heart.

At the Beginning

December 4, 2006

I heard of this song in Matto's laptop while looking for some more MP3s to complete the remaining space in my CD.

Later on, she told me that this was the only song she kept on singing while reviewing for board exam. She didn't know that I copied the file because I like the intro very much…  Then last weekend, I repeatedly played the intro… hangkyut talaga.. then i decided to hear the complete song…

At the Beginning is part of Anastasia's Soundtrack… most of the well-loved songs are part of cartoon's soundtrack…  Here are the links in youtube and here

RICHARD MARX
AT THE BEGINNING

Duet by : Richard Marx & Donna Lewis

We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we'd have to go through
Now here we are, I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start

Chorus
And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I'll be there when the world stops turning
I'll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers, on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand, unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

Back to Chorus

Bridge:
Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I've been waiting so long
Nothing's gonna tear us apart

Back to Chorus

In the end I want to be standing
At the beginning with you…

The one I want to be like

In one of my blogs, I can't remember which of which, I have written about my first dream of becoming a nun… up to now, I never stop dreaming… and everytime I am attending search-ins for aspiring nuns, i am consistent in telling them that if ever my name would be changed, i want it to be Bernadette…  yes… Saint Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes! I have come to know her through Sis. Becky R. Anzano, fsp, of Daughters of Saint Paul, in one of the catechism lessons in Cavite…  I was at that time 6 or 7 years old.

Only last Sunday, while I was browsing the pages of Philippine Star, I saw this topic:

Which famous person did you want to be or look like when you were growing up?

And I found this answer from the only Filipina newscaster/journalist I admire…

Come to think of it, I didn't want to be like anyone famous!  But I adored Mama Mary in a movie starring Julie Vega.  In the movie, Vega played the role of a blind girl who was able to see with Mama Mary's eyes.  I wished I was that little girl who could perform miracles.

                                                                                               - Bernadette Sembrano

I smiled when I read this… now.. I have two Bernadettes whom I look up to with ardent admiration and respect.

Doo-bye!

Got a phone call last night from a friend.
It was a long conversation updating me about our friend who is working in Dubai right now.

Iset:        Lakasan lang naman daw ng loob yan, Ate!
Sheggz:  Ay meron ako niyan.

The plan of working overseas started in 2003 actually… though there have been some offers… i don't know why it didn't materialize.  Maybe it's not my time yet… and maybe there's a lot of reasons holding me not to leave….

A lot of my friends are joining the bandwagon… Everytime I hear them saying…

Sheggz, makikipagsapalaran na rin ako sa ibang bansa.

it makes me sad… leaving home for greener pasture… and a tap on their shoulders for support.

Ay cia… sige… basta size 8 for rubber shoes o winnie the pooh na arabo.

This time, I have no other options but to leave the country.  A new jumpstart…
Malay natin…
totoo ang sinabi nung friend ni Matto… na…
sa foreigner daw ang bagsak ko… Half Penoy.. Half Balut!  Whehehe

Sweet Liberation?

I glanced through Sunday's Newspaper and out of nowhere, my eyes laid to Horoscope Section.

With a peek into someone else's life, you expand your view o your own.
In your search for hard and fast rules, you'll discover a sea of gray area.
Ah, sweet liberation!

Wala lang…. gusto ko lang ipost.
