The Past Life

Naranasan ko nang humarap sa tao at makinig sa mga paliwanag…
Hanggang sa kahuli-hulihang sandali… hinayaan ko ang sarili kong maging kaibigan kahit sa sandaling panahon na lang… at pinilit ko ang sarili kong gawing open-minded at yakapin ang isang nakaraan at pagkataong meron ka.  Hinintay kong sa muli kong pagtungtong sa bahay mo… for once magiging totoo ka sa mga sagot mo…

Nakinig ako… ngunit may mga paliwanag na kahit anong galing mo ideliver ang sagot… hindi ko makuhang pagkatiwalaan, paniwalaan at bigyan ng respeto… dahil ang kasinungalingan ay hindi maikukubli ng mga mata.. at ang pag-aalinlangan ay hindi idinidikta ng isip lamang.

Ang mga kaibigang nawala… ay ang mga taong kusang-loob na nagpahalaga at inunawa ang pagkataong meron ka.  Mga taong hindi mo hiningi ang pagkalinga pero kusang-loob na ibinahagi at ipinadama… hindi para suklian lang kung ano mang kabutihan ang pinakita mo… pero iyon ang normal na pagkilos ng mga taong hindi pinagkaitan ng mundo at ng pamilya ng tamang aruga at pagkalinga.

Sa likod ng sa tingin mo ay pagiging iresponsable at pagwawaldas ng salapi sa sugal, ang pagiging busy ng mga dati mong kaibigan at kakilala, ang pagiging iresponsable at tamad ng isang natitirang kaibigan, ang pananahimik ng mga kapamilya, ang unti-unting pagkawala ng kinang at respeto ng tao… ay may natatagong mas seryosong dahilan… alam mo ang lahat ng mga iyon at natatakot ka lang tanggapin sa sarili mong.. dahil sa yo.. minarapat nilang lumayo… at manahimik…. upang hindi ka nila makita sa sitwasyong ikaw mismo ang nagbulid sa sarili mo.

Kaibigan lang sila… at sarili mo lang ang minahal mo…

Pulutin ka nawa ng minahal mong sarili… walang gagawa ng masama sa iyo gaya ng iniisip mo… sarili mo ang kalaban mo magmula pa sa nakaraan mong buhay… at sarili mo pa rin ang kalaban mo sa bagong kasaysayan…

Hanggang sa huli… tatalikod ka pa rin sa realidad ng buhay.

Hindi ka matalino…
Hindi ka astig…
Hindi kahanga-hanga…

Tanging ang tao ang nagbigay sa iyo ng taguri na ganyan ka… at pinaniwala mo naman…
Eto ka sana… pero hindi ikaw yon.. Sana ay ganon ka… pero hindi talaga…

Kung nagpakatotoo ka lang sana.. Sayang!

Unreachable

Got a phone call from my friend, Taz… last night… she was just quiet… she's just crying… i tend to be quiet, too… i asked just twice… but still no response… so i just waited for any words that will be coming from her… then after that, I got a text from her..

I'm just tired… it really affect my moods… I turn to be emotional and most of all no rights to complain because it's my obligation…

haaayyy what a life… what a routine..

Sana during that time eh ok na ako and I can talk to you the way I wanted to…

miss you for so long …. and so sorry for this kind of senti moment pa matataon.. hehehe  maybe I have to admit that I'm getting old that makes me easy get tired… 

Then just tonight… i got a text from another friend.

Sis, miss na kta.

I just stayed in my room and kept silent for a day.  A little time for myself… no phone calls, no texts… no replies… no replies to emails… and been thinking of a lot of things lately when i got another text again from a friend…

Kmusta ka na po?  Tagal na nating hindi nagkakausap.

I said to myself.. "andami namang naghahanap sa akin… antagal ko bang nawala sa sirkulasyon?"

And my phone beeped again… this time… an old message but still hit me.. 

First I was dying to finish high school and start college.

And then I was dying to finish college and start working..

And then I was dying to marry and have children.

And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough for school so I could return to work.

And then I was dying to retire.

And now, I am dying …

and suddenly, I realize…..

i forgot to LIVE.

Diane, Gurly, Debs, MJ, Bianca, Yamie, Shello, Weng, Ate Lanie and Kuya Yam and the rest of my friends in Kawals are enjoying their lives still..

and me… will soon invade the land of the original Italian Pasta for a great Timang invasion… hopefully by April…

Back to Basics with Miss Agot

Dubbed Back to Basics, the sequence of shows intends to highlight Agot
Isidro’s multifaceted musicality featuring as it would not only popular bossa nova hits but a whole segment dedicated to some of her past hits, personal pop favorites and golden
standards.

“As suggested in the title, it is somewhat of a musical journey. It’s a means for me to open up more of myself to the fans especially those who identify me solely as a bossa nova
singer. I want them to know that musically I still have a lot to offer,” she states.

The earnest desire to widen her avenue is testament to Isidro’s commitment to grow as an artist. “As any artist would tell you, labels oftentimes stifle creativity. And just like any others I don’t want to be boxed. I want to evolve. Hopefully the fans would appreciate that and grow along
with me.”

Isn’t it a bit risky particularly in a country where the desire to grow and evolve as an artist is almost always met with resistance? “To tell you the truth I’m a bit apprehensive knowing
the climate of the industry. But the success of The Island as much as it was a pleasant surprise proved that people just might be already open to the idea. So I’m very much hopeful
that it will all turn out right,” she smiles.

Joining Isidro on February 07, 08 at the Music Museum will be two of the country’s premier vocal groups, The Company,New Minstrels, plus a new and exciting crooner (in the vein of Michael Buble and Josh Groban) named Shawn David.

Friendster knows me

I decided to open my friendster account while still waiting for my blog site to display.   Friendster allows Auto-Complete On… meaning, it will display the list of similar entries beginning with the first few letters you have just typed in… instead of typing it completely…

And look at what I've seen?  The name, though misspelled, but sounds exactly the same as my real name… hehehehe and look at the succeeding adjective?  

Sheggz… be good… even when others are not.. whehehe
