Timang Engagement

I signed the online guestbook of Agnes and Mon's wedding announcer site.  The only link i clicked, besides the guestbook, of course, was "The Engagement"… the part I am most excited about.  

What's so unusual about this was the bride knew just when the engagement will gonna happen… it's the "how it will happen" that leaves a portion of the excitement hanging.  whehehe

Then I remembered some of my friends' engagements… it really made me laugh so hard…

… some were having dramatic scenes before the "giving-the-ring" scene.

… some were having LQ's as part of the setup  

… some just don't know how to say, "Will you marry me?"

Then I thought of one guy who had the courage to ask me this..

Man:  Sa tingin mo ba may problema kung … yayain kita ng kasal?

Me  :  <nabulunan ako> Hmmm.. wala naman. <pero grabe akala ko makakaalpas ang lungs ko sa kaba hehehe>

Man:  Anong ibig sabihin nun..

Me  :  Hmmm. Wala din <sabay subo ng chicken>

<A moment of silence> 

Me:    Gutom lang yan.  Gusto mo pa ba kumain?

<Hindi umiimik si lalaki.  Tinopak bigla.>

Man:  Hindi ako nagbibiro. 

The rest is history… but to give you a hint of what happened… because of that… we parted ways.  Takot ko kayang sagutin ung tanong.  Kapag hindi ka raw sigurado sa taong kaharap mo… saying "YES" is very difficult… a lot of doubts.. a lot of worries…

But when the right question was asked by the right man… you wouldn't think of any answer but  "YES… I, Do!"

On Being Single

There's nothing wrong with being single.

We search so much for the right choices, for the right paths to walk through, for the right time, and for the right reasons.

On my Own

After that crying moment, I went down and opened the tv again… there i saw "Versions" of Myx… Back to Back Hits… showing the original and revived songs!

The first song I heard was a live performance of Sheryn Regis singing "Try it on my Own"…
I've enjoyed Mau Marcelo's rendition of this than Tukayong Sheryn.  But I do love the lyrics of it…. fit for a crying queen…. hehehe… full of rebound!

Hearing this pulled off all the energies I've just released and regained the self-esteem I lost for some time… Bounced!

After Whitney, I decided to go upstairs and go and take some sleep… but before I put myself into rest… I am very firm in singing these lines…

ON MY OWN 

Burlogzzz ….

"Naghihintay lang ako" - Poknat

I tuned in last Saturday night to Channel 2 and saw "Sana Maulit Muli"…

"Ay palabas na pala to!"

So I sat comfortably while watching it.  Sana Maulit Muli, the only song that made me cry in our high school graduation.  I enjoyed not the acting of the teen stars, but of Mickey Ferriols and the story itself.

The story is simple and ordinary, but I dunno why i finished it… the scene that brought me to excessive tears was when Jasmine (Poknat) got hit by the bus (G-LINER) and helplessly trying to say these words..

"Sana lagi tayong magkasama… Masaya ako na nagkita tayong muli, Bokbok.  Gaya ng dati… naghihintay lang ako.. naghihintay lang ako… " 

After hearing that… grabe… napahagulhol ako… ng-feeling Poknat ako.  Kakainis!

I never cried pala since D-Day.  I dunno how it happened but I felt so numb the moment I saw the bride walking in the aisle… and saw her groom waiting in front. 

I never cried… sobrang namanhid ako… 

When friends are asking… "Musta ka na, Sheggz?"… "Ewan ko."

"Gaya ng dati… naghihintay lang ako…" doon lumabas lahat ng emosyon na naitago ko sa baul.  Napatakbo ako sa terrace at doon na lang ipinagpatuloy ang pag-iyak.  Kung may nakakita sa akin sa ganoong sitwasyon ay aakalaing namatayan ako.  Wala akong naisip tawagan o itext dahil at that time alam kong walang makakapagconsole sa akin kundi ang sarili ko at ang taong nagpaiyak sa akin ng ganon.

Noon ko lang na-feel sa buong buhay ko na sobrang nag-iisa ako… ang tanging kakampi ko lang that time ay ang Pooh Bear na yakap-yakap ko.  Yung feeling na sobrang pumusta ka ng sobra tapos natalo …. talong-talo.  Gusto kong mambato, manipa, sumigaw, magratatat ng armalite… mawala lang ung sakit at galit…
