Metropop Songwriters

So happy to watch last sunday's episode of Sharon, a tribute to the songwriters / composers of Metropop Song Festival.

Great songs…. great legacy of the Philippine Music Industry… came from the brilliant minds of Filipino songwriters who most of the time are unknown to the public.

Kayganda ng Ating Musika interpreted by Hajji Alejandro and created by Mr. Ryan Cayabyab which up to now is used in the opening salvo of Metropop.

Till I Met You by Odette Quesada popularized by Ms. Kuh Ledesma

Anak which may not won the top awards but captured the hearts of so many people around the world.

And just before writing this blog, I came across Ms. Trina Belamide's website @ www.trinabelamide.com 

One of my favorite songwriters of all time…. who gave us the heart-warming "Now that I have You", "Shine", "You've made me stronger", "Reason Enough", "Tell the World of His Love" and so much more..

Hoping very soon I could participate in their upcoming songwriting workshops… yahu!
