Dadi’s Day

September 6 is my Daddy's birthday.  When I was still young and Daddy was thousand miles away from us, I never fail to send personalized cards, letters, drawings, giggling voice-tapes and all that.  I smile everytime I remember I am Daddy's Girl.  Just last month, I accidentally found an old voice tape for my Dad.  Was laughing all night when I heard myself singing while playing keyboards.  That's my unique way of making my Dad happy for I know, he will surely appreciate it.  When I play good and he recognized that, surely he'll buy me something new… a musical instrument or something.

For we clicked instantly at talking about the the gadgets, computers, musical instruments or anything related to our common passion. 

Daddy is sometimes emotional.  I remembered then, he shared something about…. "He knew that when he get older, he'll up staying at Golden Acres, for soon, me and my bro will find new lives with our new families…."  and I always end up commenting…. "Why, you don't see us taking care of you and Mader?  Are we too insensitive?"

There might be gaps in between… but I believe there are still more rooms to fill it in… and today, my wish for my Dad is "finding more life in the midst of hopelessness…"
