To!nk-able Thots

The best and the most wonderful thing in this world cannot be seen or even touched... they must be felt with the heart.

LIFE is a GIFT!

September 4, 2006
Let us cherish the moment when we're empty but happy…
Tired but inspired..
Down but smiling…
Feeling lost but living for a cause..
LIFE is a GIFT!
I got this text message from Angelsmile.

It reminded me of Rowell who made me realize that LIFE is really WONDERFUL.
So sad that he was able to remind me of that after he's gone.

The Truth is…

"Truth is..

We hide because we wanna be found,
We walk away to see who follows,
We cry to see who wipes away the tears,

And we let our hearts be broken to see who comes and fix them."

Bar Challenge

September is the month for Barrister!
D day for Lawyers-wanna-be.

I went to DLSU Taft last Sunday to cheer for a friend, Iamie.  She's from Cebu.  A friend whom I've never met yet… but we're good friends…

Vito Cruz St. was crowded with families, friends, fraternities, sorrorities, students, relatives, faculty of different universities and bands.  They have their own gimmicks to show support to barrister.

Got goosebumps when I saw the barristers from different schools all over the Philippines walking bravely as they enter the gates of La Salle to take the Bar Challenge… For how many years of struggling… now they're ready to embark a new phase!

So proud that one of them is my Friend.  Though I never got the chance to see her… still I am very proud of her.  I asked the band at my back to play "POSIBLE" of Rivermaya.  In that way, I know Iamie will know that a Kawal Friend is there to support her…

I saw a tarpauline "Bedan Barrister hit the 100%" hanging on the walls of LRT.
I remember a conversation with my brother and his gf.  He told me that h
is friends promised that they'll be sponsoring huge tarpaulines posted all over the LRT stations.  And we all laughed.

Ah iba ang gimik ng Ate Sheggz mo… "Ung train mismo ang may advertisement ng mukha mo"
So lahat ng makakakita sa train, even from a far, will know that you'll be taking the bar exam.. hahaha
I will ask Say Alonzo, his PBB crush eversince, to cheer for her… hahaha

The problem is… after the bar exam… and he fails… he will deny daw that he took the bar.
I said, how about the train… that will be the living proof that you took the challenge.
And we laughed again….
He said.. "iba ka talaga mag-isip, Ate"

Ang sarap ng feeling na lalaban ka ulit… sa bagong hamon ng buhay!
kaya ako.. tuloy ang laban!
At masaya ituh!

By next year, I'll be standing in the same place again, cheering for my brother.  Yooohooo!
And we'll all be dancing in the moonlight!

'Ayt!

SFC Cavite South Band

August 30, 2006

I got a text message inviting me to join the Singles For Christ Cavite South Band for the upcoming Band Competition on September 9 in celebration of SFC Anniversary.

I was soooo excited so I replied immediately…
i just got the song title …. and four chords….
whehehe I asked Niño to hand in me a cd of that and try to find the notes out of it.  I did!

I love the song… and I simply love the chance.. Pray to win!

First jamming

was really awesome… incredibly great!
We're starting from scratch, mix and match of rhythms….
instrument tuning…
but it ended up with a great rock (mejo trance pa nga) arrangement… hehehehe

The drummer and the guitarists were really great…
and I was sooooooo happy to be part of making that music!
I found myself headbanging when the drum beats!

Galing talaga!  Serving God through our music!
Way to Go!

Premiere of You Are The One

August 29, 2006
SM Megamall

I was joined by three of my friends from three different circle of friendships I had who has never been my original pals to watch the movie… it was supposed to be Matto, my brother and my bro's girlfriend.

Mhy
, my highschool close friend

Anje, my close friend in college

and Athan, my wacky friend in Flores.

It was one heck of incredibly clean fun evening!  There was never a dull moment in the movie that made us all laughed from the start till the end.  Jonathan, who usually sleeps at moviehouses, was never sleepy that night.  We simply loved sharing the Barbeque and Cheese Popcorn, the movie, and the bonding.  At first I was worried that my buddies will not get along with each other but to my surprise… they did!  We became instant fans of Eugene Domingo who made us all laughing and teary-eyed…

You are the One is a feel-good movie that will give you the rare feeling and conviction that when you finally found the RIGHT ONE FOR YOU… masaya, masarap at kumpleto ang buhay.

Thanks guys!  Till the next preem bonding!  I enjoyed it very very much…. as well as your kwentos!

Thanks for the Popcorn and Gogo Treat!

In the Land of the Loving….. we shall all meet….

August 28, 2006

I was surprised to see a Miss Saigon soundtrack on my brother's cd case. I got so excited to tell him that there's one song in it that I loved to hear over and over again.

"Sun and Moon"

I always want to hear this with my eyes closed, with a sweet smile painted on my face and a big pillow that I squeeze so tight…

That's when my imagination takes me to one familiar scene that I always picture myself with…

Scene 1:

At the two ends of the earth, is a man and a woman lying in bed…. sleeping…
At the first beat of "Sun and Moon", their souls rise up, leaving their cold bodies lying….
As they fly higher, their clothes are transformed into a more regal attire, that of prince and princess…

Scene 2:

Though separately flying, the two souls will reach a very cloudy place with angels serenading…
This is what they call the "Land of the Loving" where they shall meet..

Scene 3:

They will dance gracefully…
Till they will be taken into another level called "The Land of Eternity", a picture of paradise and a pink
castle at the middle… God is at the door smiling….

God says, "In Earth, you might not have been given the chance to sanctify your love, in here, I will
witness and tie the knot… I thank you for waiting patiently and believing that love is truly there…
I have prepared a home for both of you where you will live happily ever after…
True love binds you and brings you here…

Scene 4:

The prince will kiss the princess and hug each other… there will be a rain of pink, white and red petals
all over the place…. at the back of the castle, is an orchestra playing Sun and Moon….

The Bear of Very Little Brain instructs….

August 22, 2006

  • A lot  of my friends are asking me why i love Winnie the Pooh so much.   I keep on telling them…. this bear is different from the cartoon characters that they have known.  He does not only entertain but gives lessons in ways that we oftentimes ignored.  The quotes that I have compiled here will show you Pooh's very innocent and witty disposition in his bear's life.  It's his very good-natured, good-humored, carefee, very loving and very friendly attitude that makes me love him more each day… Sometimes people tend to overlook the very basics of life and treating other people lightly…

Look beyond what is stated… you'll see just how good Pooh's heart is…

"Let's go and see everybody," said Pooh. "Because when you've been walking in the wind for miles, and you suddenly go into somebody's house, and he says, "Hallo, Pooh, you're just in time for a little smackerel of something," and you are, then it's what I call a Friendly Day."

  • Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little, in order to say "How do you do" in a gloomy manner to Pooh. "And how are you?" said Winnie-the-Pooh. Eeyore shook his head from side to side.
"Not very how," he said. "I don't seem to felt at all how for a long time."

  • "Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully. Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit's clever.
    "And he has Brain."
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain."
    There was a long silence.
"I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything."

  • Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh!" he whispered.
    "Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you."

  • "How do you do Nothing?" asked Pooh.
"Well, it's when people call out at you just as you're going off to do it, 'What are you going to do, Christopher Robin?' and you say, `Oh, nothing' and then you go and do it. It means just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering."

  •  "Pooh," said Rabbit kindly, "you haven't any brain.""I know," said Pooh humbly.
    – Winnie-the-Pooh
  • "Thank you, Piglet," said Pooh. "What you have just said will be a Great Help to us, and because of it I could call this place PoohandPiglet Corner if Pooh Corner didn't sound better, which it does, being smaller and more like a corner.  Come along."

  • "Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is
    to be known."

  • "SHARE!" said Rabbit. "Why should I share?" Pooh Scratched his head and thought a bit.
"Because sharing makes you feel good," he replied. "And the more you share with others, The more they'll share with you."

  • Pooh:  "Poetry and hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is to go where they can find you."
  • Pooh:  "For I am a Bear of Very Little Brain, and long words bother me."
  • Pooh:  "We will be friends until forever, just you wait and see.."
  • Pooh:  "I wonder what Piglet is doing, I wish I were there to be doing it, too."
  • Pooh:  "Sometimes it's the smallish things that take up the most room in our hearts."
  • Pooh:  "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you."
  • Pooh:  "I'm so rumbly in my tummy.  Time for something sweet."
  • Pooh:  "As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen!"
  • Pooh: "Some people care too much, I think it's called love."

  • "You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for people to come to you.  You have to go to them sometimes."

  • "Those who are clever, who have brain never understand anything."

Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh

  • Christopher Robin:  "Pooh, promise you won't forget about me, ever.  Not even when I'm a hundred…"
    Pooh thought for a little..
Pooh:  "How old shall I be then?"
    Christopher Robin:  "Ninety-nine."Pooh nodded.
    Pooh: "I promise."
  •

  • "When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," saig Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh.  "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?", said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.  "It's the same thing," he said.

  • Then he began to think of all the things Christopher Robin would want to tell him when he came back from wherever he was going to, and how muddling it would be for a Bear of Very Little Brain to try and get them right in his mind. "So perhaps," he said sadly to himself,

"Christopher Robin won't tell me any more," and he wondered if being a Faithful Knight meant that you just went on being faithful without being told things."

  • Pooh looked at his two paws. He knew that one of them was the right, and he knew that when you had decided which one of them was the right, then the other was the left, but he never could remember how to begin.
  • Piglet:  "Pooh, for a bear of very little brain, you sure are a smart one."

Return to Pooh Corner

August 12, 2006

Welcome to my new virtual space [http://www.sheggz.i.ph].

I had two previous published blog sites, namely:

The First I called, Four Corners of Sheggz the Pooh hosted by Blogger.com |and the most recent… Four Corners by Friendster Blog.

Gone are the days in which Internet was just used as a medium for browsing, surfing and e-mail exchanges.  We are exactly in the era they termed as BLOGGING Generation.  Paying heed to the call of contributing something worthwhile in the vast array of World Wide Web, that I intend to come up with this blog.

BLOGGING has always been my way of expressing myself and connecting to people, especially with friends and families whom I’ve never come to see more often.  In short, my evidence to claim that I exist on earth and I have something to share… be it meaningful, funny, terrifying… or just simply anything that makes sense… hopefully.

I’ve always been fascinated with naming my blogs as Four Corners… to signify that there are several avenues in Sheggz’s life that may seem obvious to some but are basically unexplored…  obviously, with this "Retun to Pooh Corner" will somehow give you a hint that Winnie the Pooh will play a major role in here…

"Sharing different pieces of Sheggz… "

I’m still in the process of merging my Friendster blog and put it all here..
Come back soon!

A JAH!

Off to work

October 3, 2000

Went straight to i-cafe to have my blog updated and somehow to release the growing stress within me.

Just had my orientation @ work.  I read the appointment letter and employment contract.  And go over the job functions expected of me.  The two-paged job specifications made my stomach rumbled!
My dear, I got stunned with it.  I go over the first page and checked whether I've applied for the wrong post.
But I was right, I didn't applied for a General Manager position… whehehe

Whew! The post requires a damn hell of a more serious, a thinker, and an organized Sheggz.  I kept silent for a while, the smile was temporarily vanished, the Timang switched off, and I looked at the HR, the President and the V-President who were in front of me giving a briefing of my assigned client.

This was what I asked for… a job that will utilize the full potentials…

Am I ready for it?

Pag nag-iisip at seryoso ako… tahimik lang.. pero grabe ang kulo ng tyan ko…

Napalamon ako ng lunch!
